2019 - Flashback With the clock chiming twelve times at the midnight of 31st December, we shall enter into 2020. Once again a year full of events, gets buried into the pages of history. It had its share of both good and bad moments. Let’s have some excerpts from the flashback of 2019 National events -In the largest democracy of the world, General Elections for the 17 th Lok Sabha were held in India in the first half of the year. National Democratic Alliance romped home with 353 out of 543 seats, enabling Narendra Modi to take oath as the Prime Minister, for the second term. United Progressive Alliance led by the Congress, got 90 seats. Om Birla from BJP was unanimously elected as the Speaker of the 17th Lok Sabha.  -Simultaneously, with Lok Sabha elections, Vidhan Sabha elections were also held in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim.
